Reform Jersey registered as a political party
Centre-left Reform Jersey was a political group two years before it officially became a party. It was registered at the Royal Court on 4 July and contested the 15 October election. The party supported same-sex marriage before it was passed into law and had campaigned for progressive taxation, six months’ maternity leave and the construction of more affordable housing. It also supported Jèrriais, moves to combat climate change, and a healthcare system similar to the mainland’s NHS, which is free at the point of consumption.
