Princess Margaret visits Jersey
Almost ten years to the day after her sister’s visit, Princess Margaret came to Jersey. It what was, quite literally, a flying visit, she flew from Guernsey to Alderney, and then on to Jersey where she spent the night after dinner with the Lieutenant-Governor. As part of her visit, she attended the Youth Rally at People’s Park, inspected the St John’s Ambulance Brigade and presented the Grand Prior Badge of the Order of St John to one of its members.
