Channel 4’s Time Team comes from Jersey

In the same month (but a different year) that Channel 4’s Treasure Hunt came from Jersey, the same channel’s archaeological history programme, Time Team, visited the island.

Presenter Tony Robinson and his team of investigators spent three days digging for 13th century artefacts at Gorey Castle, as well as visiting the Jersey War Tunnels. The episode was unusual, as Tony Robinson, despite being the most public face of the series, doesn’t usually choose where they should visit, which he did on this occasion after researching an article on Jersey’s history for the tourist board. A second episode was broadcast from Jersey the following month.
